Performance Reporting Update!

In 2025, OVW, in collaboration with MEI, will launch a web-based, performance reporting tool called the VAWA IMPACT Tool, the *Indicators *Measurements *Performance *Achievements *Challenges *Technical Assistance Tool. OVW Discretionary grantees will use the IMPACT Tool to prepare their performance data for submission to OVW, beginning with the July to December 2024 reporting period.

Note: for Discretionary Grantees with an award that closes between July 1, 2024, and March 3, 2025, need to continue to use the fillable PDF performance reports. You should have received specific instructions from OVW via email (see this flowchart for more details). If you have not received your final performance reporting form from OVW, please contact your OVW Program Specialist. OVW.Research@usdoj.gov.

When will the tool be ready for grantees?

Due to this change in the performance reporting process, the due date for submitting July to December 2024 performance data into JustGrants will be extended two months from January 30, 2025, to March 31, 2025. Grantees will be able to access the VAWA IMPACT Tool by March 3, 2025.

How will grantees use the tool?

Discretionary grantees will be required to use the VAWA IMPACT Tool to complete their July to December 2024 performance report. The performance report data will first be entered by the grantee into an online, interactive performance reporting form in the VAWA IMPACT Tool. Once the report has been completed online, the tool will generate a PDF for the grantee to download and submit into JustGrants by the March 31, 2025, deadline.

Training Opportunities

In early 2025, VAWA MEI will provide multiple training opportunities to orient grantees to this new reporting process including live webinars, training videos, and ongoing technical assistance via phone (1-800-922-8292), email (vawamei@maine.edu), and video.

To better understand the reporting requirements for OVW grant-funded activities and to learn more about the data that will be reported in the VAWA IMPACT Tool, view your initiative’s sample reporting form below. This sample form includes an outline of all the questions on the performance report and all the data required for entry into the VAWA IMPACT Tool. Note: this sample form is not a fillable PDF and should not be used to submit in JustGrants.
